Artist Statement
New Dimensions brings together two artists (Emma Dillon Hill and myself) connected by our shared experiences of creativity and motherhood. Presented at The Corner Gallery, Stanmore, this duo exhibition celebrates a friendship built on mutual support, encouragement, and a deep understanding of the dualities they navigate — as mothers and makers.
In this nurturing exchange, Emma and I hold space for one another with quiet reassurance. Our artistic practices, while distinct in palette and approach, converse in surprising and complementary ways. Within these contrasts, new layers of meaning emerge. As each work evolves, even in the act of making, it moves toward deeper self expression — unfolding into new dimensions and unfamiliar realms of creativity.
