Artist's Statement

I’m so excited to share with you my small collection of works ‘Interlaced’. Readjusting to motherhood second time round, I’ve been embracing new life sparking a creative surge which has seen my practice leaning towards energy in abstraction and the slow exploration of interlacing mark-marking of oil sticks and spray paint on the canvas.

The intuitive painting process reveals a constant conversation with nature and nurture, forever evolving but always in flow with a sense of deep knowing and trust in the creative process of art making and motherhood. Much like childbirth, the creative process is familiar yet of another world as the energy moves from one dimension to the next, and here we meet again.
